DIFFERENT WAYS

Serenade on Two Wheels

P.Righini, 2025

I was riding fast along the lake, the sun was burning, my thirst to take. Bistros and bars were calling me in, but I refused, I felt the wind. Too much joy with my brothers near, black leather jacket, Ray-Bans clear.

Then all at once the sun went down, behind the mountains, red all around. The crimson light across the sky, pointed a road that caught my eye. What was that message from above, that pulled me away from the friends I love?

Run, my motor, like only you do, you are my horse and I ride you true. Like the ancient warriors, bronze and proud, ready to set the sea on fire, never bowing to fate, never to the crowd.

But then you came, sitting there in blue, long, long legs and black hair too. Eyes intriguing, charm so real, a burning look I couldn’t conceal.

I slowed it down, almost to stop, my heart was racing, my eyes locked. The sound of my Kawasaki low, as if your beauty tamed its soul.

I stopped the bike, stepped off the steel, what could you want, what did I feel? My friends were riding up the road, laughing free with their heavy load. But you silenced my lips, clouded my view, nothing remained — only you.

I walked to you, the mountain wind, blew through your hair, like snakes in sin. Medusa’s fire across my face, singing me songs in a sultry embrace.

But then you came, sitting there in blue, long, long legs and black hair too. Eyes intriguing, charm so true, everything ended… when I saw you.
